Managing Groups

Group Management

Management groups are containers that help you manage access, policy, and compliance across your organization. You can create, deactivate, and reactive these containers to have hierarchies that can be used with NowSecure Role Based Access Controls (RBAC).

To make changes to a management group, you must have an Owner or Admin role on the management group.

Add Group or Multiple Groups

  • To Add a New Group, click the Add Group button

  • Enter the desired name for the new group in the Create New Group input field and click the Create button

Deactive or Reactivate Group

  • To Deactivate a Group, hover over the tooltip in the Actions column for a specific group and click the Deactivate text link

  • Click the Confirm button in the popup modal

  • The Group status is set to Inactive in the group list and the group will no longer have access to NowSecure AUTO. The user will need to contact their Administrator to Reactivate the group

  • To Reactivate a Group, hover over the tooltip in the Actions column for a specific user and click the Reactivate text link

  • Click the Confirm button in the popup modal

  • The Group status is set to Active in the group list and will have access to NowSecure AUTO.

Move Applications Between Groups

  • To move an application to another group, hover over the group name tag of a dashboard card and click the Change Group text link in the tooltip

  • Select a group from the Change Group dropdown menu
